4 Lipstick Shade You Must Try for Fall

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Purdue chapter.

The fall season is exciting for many reasons: an unending array of pumpkin flavored products,
sweater weather, Halloween parties, thanksgiving, and much more. I thoroughly enjoy all these
things, but there is one small thing that people are always surprised that I get excited about
during this time…lipsticks!!! I am a sucker for a good brown or burgundy lip in the fall time. It’s
a great time to pull out your darker lip colors to complete your fall outfits. Whether you’re
wearing jeans and a sweater or a cute dress with boots, I believe that a little gloss, matte lip, or
satin lip will always compliment an outfit well. Here are a few affordable lip products that I
swear by during the fall seasson:

1. Morphe Liquid lipstick in Nibble (Velvety matte)

This shade is described as mulberry on Morphe’s website. I personally love it because it is a great mix of burgundy with a slight burnt orange tone. It also lasts on your lips for a long time without smudging or feeling “crumbly” on your lips.

2. Colourpop lippie stix in thousand percent (ultra matte finish)

This is a great full-coverage lip product, especially since it only takes one swipe to get the full pigmentation of the color. Typically, matte lipsticks can feel dry on your lips, but this product contains shea butter and Vitamin E to help for a smooth, buttery feel.

3. maybelline color sensational lipstick in sprice for me (satin)

I love to mix things up with this orange-y- brown shade. If you’re not ready to commit to a dark lip color, then this lipstick will still help you capture the fall vibes that you are looking for. Its satin finish helps for an easy application and comfortable wear.

4. E.L.F. matte lip in scarlet night (Matte)

I am always reaching for this lipstick because it pairs great with other lip products, such as a gloss, or does well by itself. It seems that it would be darker than usual, but once you apply it, you can tell it’s more like a dark berry color. Also, you can never go wrong with E.l.f products cause they’re affordable and they usually always have a sale on their website!
