Recruiting season is right around the corner, and recruiters are hiring from left to right! When thinking about the future, it can be very overwhelming and stressful especially when you have no idea where your life is headed. It’s important to take a break and try to take it one day at a time so you don’t get burned out! Remember to do activities that make you happy, such as listening to music, hanging out with friends and family or going skydiving! (I know that’s on my bucket list!) Enjoy the present because you’ll regret that you didn’t in the future. With that being said, here are 3 underrated platforms that may help job searching a bit easier!
This platform is great for college students and recent graduates because it specializes in early career hiring! This site is like job searching but in reverse. All you need to do is sign up by inputting your work history, interests, and values, then companies will send you interview invitations if they believe you’re a good match for their open position(s). Top companies, such as Amazon, Ebay, Dell, etc. have been matched with numerous candidates signed on RippleMatch so this is a great platform to use when searching for a job or internship!
To launch your career, AngelList is a great platform to start off at. It is the world’s largest startup community, and many companies that are in their early stages are looking to hire more people! You could speak directly with founders and build your network, while seeing the salary and equity of the position you’re interested in up-front. You can search by role, location, or both! Around 130,000+ tech start-ups, including Twitch, Robinhood, Postmates, and many more that turned from seed to post-IPO, found candidates on AngelList! What’s better is that the platform is free, so it’s a great start to kick-off your career!
To love where you work and be accepted for who you are is a value that Canvas holds. They value diversity and genuinely want to help you find jobs at companies where you feel you belong! They emphasize “Community over competition”, therefore, they create a community of mentors where people help each other strive to succeed professionally and grow individually! The platform is free to sign up, where you create a profile and apply to roles that interest you. Companies, such as Google, Stripe, Roblox, Zoom, and many more have been actively recruiting on this platform, and their next hire could be you so don’t be afraid to put yourself out there and apply to the positions posted!

Personally, recruiting season has been taking a toll on me mentally, but I feel more encouraged to grow professionally than ever before! Don’t lose hope, and take every rejection as a learning opportunity to revise your resume, improve your portfolio, and strengthen your connections!
