Hello everyone! It has been a while since we last saw each other but fall is finally here! This is actually going to be my first year experiencing fall here in Decatur, GA and there are many fall festivities that I love to take part in. Since fall is the best time of year there is, I know there are many people like myself who are interested in celebrating and commemorating this time. Here are some types of fall activities that I want to do. But you could also use this list to inspire some activities that you might want to do this month!
#1: Apple Picking at Red Apple Barn
Now, the last time I went apple picking was in kindergarten, but nonetheless, this still sounds like so much fun. This is about 2 hours away from our campus but I think this would be a lovely way to spend a part of your fall break. Based on the pictures and reviews, the farm not only looks beautiful but there are endless amounts of apples, apple cider, and apple cider donuts that you can eat, which is always a plus.
#2: Watch a Scary Movie in a Movie Theater
As obvious as this one seems, I don’t think there has ever been a time when I went to watch a scary movie during the fall/Halloween season, but I do want to make it my main goal for this month. In terms of the movies that you potentially see, here are a couple of scary/horror movies that are coming out this month: Last Night in Soho, Lamb, and Titane. There are probably more but those are the ones that I really want to see. If you are not into horror films then I recommend Dune, The Harder They Fall, and Worst Person in the World.
#3: Fright Fest at Six Flags
Now I have been wanting to do this for years, and since I am now an adult in college I think now is the best time to go. Ideally, I want to go at night so that the people in the scare zone can scare me and go inside the many different haunted attractions to really get the full experience. By the look of the website, it honestly looks like so much fun and I hope that either this year or the other 2 years that I have left of my degree, I can at least go once.
#4: Watch Through The Looking Glass Play
This upcoming October Agnes Scott is putting on the production of Through The Looking Glass, and I am beyond excited. It has been years since I have seen a play. It is free to Agnes Scott students and it premieres on October 29th and the 30th at 8 pm! Also, it is located at the McCain Library. If you are not an Agnes Scott student, then I recommend looking at The Alliance Theatre and Synchronicity Theatre to look at some other plays around the Atlanta area
