Three Things I Dread on Syllabus Week

Oh, syllabus week. A time for “fun” or so everyone thinks. I think syllabus week is terrible especially in the fall. We are just getting back to things, cardio, and stabilizing our schedules. These are some things though that I find absolutely terrible and hate working them in to my time.

Getting Books

I HAVE SO MUCH TO DO WHEN I GET BACK TO CAMPUS THAT I HAVE NO TIME TO GO GET MY BOOKS FROM THE BOOKSTORE! I FIND THAT THE BREAK I ALLOW MYSELF TO EAT IS WHEN I MUST GO WHICH COMPLETELY RUINS MY DAY. YOU WOULD THINK I WOULD PAY THE $10 FOR SHIPPING TO AVOID THIS BUT I WILL NEVER LEARN, I GUESS.

Food

I think we can all agree that when scheduling we did not take into account that we need to eat. I have made this mistake all four years I have been in college. I schedule work directly after class or before and do not leave at least an hour between. This sucks because I have to tell my boss that I cannot work, and I look stupid.

Choosing seats

This is the worst thing ever! Choosing a seat especially if you are going into a room with a ton of people already in it. Do I sit by myself or with someone? How do I choose? I end up sitting by myself with hopes someone chooses me but then I end up screwed. I feel like this is never a winning situation sometimes I miss assigned seats.

I hope you can relate and learn from my mistakes. Do us all a favor and schedule with food in the equation! But hey, we made it past syllabus week and are on to our fall semester so have fun!
