New York Fashion Week: Days 1 and 2

I noticed a pattern with my two favorite designers from the first two days: gorgeous fabrics and lots of glamour.

The first collection I absolutely adored was Christian Siriano’s. Siriano managed to infuse classic cuts while keeping his flair for the dramatic with bold prints and colors. Each piece in the collection is beautifully made, with clean but feminine cuts that are all completely wearable. Though the collection is large, Siriano manages to tie it all together with thoughtful details.

And then there’s Jason Wu. In classically feminine silhouettes, Wu adds a touch of floral and a ruffle here and there for the height of glamour. He makes a unique spring collection by keeping his color palette on the darker yet still vibrant side. Each piece, like Siriano’s, is beautifully constructed. These were a couple of pieces that actually took my breath away:
