As our beloved fashion week draws to a close, it certainly ends with a bang. I found the Marchesa and Anna Sui lines especially noteworthy and creative. So take a look!
First, I must say that I think Marchesa is one of the few American clothing lines that gets as close as possible to being couture without actually being couture. Each dress is without a doubt a work of art, and upon seeing several pieces I was left literally speechless. Using a mixture of shimmers, pastels, lights and darks, Marchesa designers Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig created a spring line brings a unique artistic style and perspective to Spring 2011. I only wish I had oodles of galas to go to, because I would be wearing Marchesa at every single one of them. Here are some of Chapman and Craig’s unbelievable creations:

While Anna Sui is not perhaps luxurious high style, she is absolutely so much fun. Sui is known for being a little bit quirky and a little bit rock and roll, and her Spring 2011 collection is no different. Taking cues from a more western inspiration, the 1920s, and a 1960s bohemia, Sui put together a line that is as much fun to look at as it must be to wear. Here are some of my favorites from the collection:
