Shyneice Porter

Nickname: Shy

Hails from: Delaware

Relationship Status: Single

Major:  Broadcast journalism

Interests:  Learning, shopping, exploring, reading, walking and chilling at the mall.

Favorite quotation:  “We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not act, but a habit.”-Aristotle

If you could meet anybody it would be: Martin Luther King Jr.

Fun facts: Shy was born on New Year’s Eve in Delaware and was the first baby born in the hospital in Delaware for the new year.  Shy also possesses a very extensive vocabulary for a college student and  never lets people settle for mediocrity–she motivates people to do their best.

Career Aspiration:  Shy knows she wants to work her way up as a broadcaster for CNN and then get her doctorate in psychology. She would like to own a psychology practice so she can be CNN’s psychology correspondent.

Favorite Movie: Shutter Island

Where can people find her: You can practically find Shy anywhere from the mall to the dorm, but most of her time is spent at Schine and in class getting brighter.

If she could have dinner with anybody it would be: JESUS

What do you like to do on the weekends: Contrary to popular culture in college Shy dislikes going to parties, but she does like to chill and relax with her friends.

What do you look for in a man: Shy’s ideal man has to be: smart, well groomed (TEETH HAVE TO BE IN VERY GOOD SHAPE) intellectually driven, funny, and aspiring to something with his life.  Sorry for everybody else, but if your tall, dark, and handsome then you have an upper hand on everybody else if you are courting Shy. Lastly, Shy wants a man who can take charge and lead, but can show a romantic side as well.

She is also a brother in the community service fraternity Alpha Phi Omega. Although she's not sure exactly what she wants to do after graduation, she hopes to use writing to make a difference in someone's world.
