If you’ve been keeping up with us recently, you might know that since about July we’ve been working with our AMAZING PR guy, Jake. Jake graduated from Emerson College in Boston a few years ago and has had a super impressive career so far in sports PR (he worked with the Olympic figure skating team, the NHL and more), and was now looking to do some PR in an area that wasn’t sports! So he found us :)
We have become extremely close with Jake (the only guy in the office) over the past few months, and he has done such unbelievable work for us. If you’re on the receiving end of any of our press releases, those are his doing, and if you’re on the HC Team you’ve seen lots of emails from him! He also helped us get on Fox25 News and in The Boston Metro, among others.
So we are extremely sad (but understanding) that Jake is leaving Boston tomorrow to move to Detroit to start at an awesome new job. He’ll still be working with us remotely (thank god), but we are going to miss him in the office! :(
So last night, after the entrepreneurship reception at the State House (which Windsor will probably blog about in a bit), Windsor, Annie, Jake and I headed to the Top of the Hub to celebrate his last night. We got cocktails and a molten chocolate cake, which was delicious. Top of the Hub is on the 52nd floor of the Prudential Center in Boston, and it is all glass on the sides so that you can see the whole Boston skyline when you’re up there. Unfortunately it was gross and rainy and foggy in Boston last night so you couldn’t see the skyline at all, but it was still a nice place to go.
