As I’m sure you already know, I am a huge advocate of non-profit She’s the First — a campaign dedicated to raising awareness and funding for girls’ educations worldwide. As the founding president of the official Hofstra chapter, I am so inspired by the passion and love for philanthropy of 20-somethings today. I recently blogged about the opportunities for you to start a branch at your own university and make positive, lasting change on your campus and in different countries across the planet. I hear a few of you have expressed interest and I couldn’t be more pleased!
STF recently celebrated its first birthday in NYC and it was an incredible evening full of dazzling giveaways, electrifying dance routines, and scrumptious cupcakes. Myself and HC Hofstra Correspondent Katilin attended and were amazed by the power of networking and true passion that filled the room. In honor of this organization, this week’s playlist is “first” themed.
