Residents of Columbia flock annually to the thousands of twinkling lights that make the Magic Tree an annual community tradition and popular holiday photo hotspot. The popularity of the tree grew to such a level that creator Will Treelighter moved the tree this year to its new home at the Village of Cherry Hill.

Kelsey Mirando is a senior at the University of Missouri, class of 2011, studying Magazine Journalism, English and Sociology. Born and raised in Tulsa, Okla., Kelsey enjoys travel, volunteerism and any Leonardo DiCaprio movie.
