Hometown: I was born and raised in Mariemont, Ohio, a lovely little town right outside of Cincinnati. It’s the quintessential “throw-back” English town, if you will. It’s equipped with its very own inn, double-decker bus, old-fashion movie theater, British red telephone boxes, functioning bell tower…the works. Google it.  I dare you. You’ll be jealous you didn’t grow up there. Just saying.
Major: Health and Exercise Science with Psychology and Chemistry

Greatest Wake Memory: Probably January, 13 2008. This answer is super cliché, which is far from my style, but frankly this was the day I was introduced to so many of my now best friends and Wake wouldn’t have been the same without them. So Regis, January 13, 2008 is my final answer.
Celebrity Crush: Hmmmm…I’ll go with an oldie but goodie: Adam Brody circa OC season 1. Yeah, him hands down. Or maybe Tim Gunn. Or is that too awkward? Sorry I’m not sorry. He always just ‘makes it work’ for me. (Was that funny?)
Biggest Fear: Two things happened in 2002 after watching Die Another Day. One, I developed an uncanny crush on Pierce Brosnan which has since dwindled (I mean, can you blame me… seriously, did you see him in Mamma Mia?) and two, I became horribly terrified of dark, cold, deep water. Glaciers aren’t my jam. I realize this is an extremely irrational phobia seeing how I don’t plan on jumping on the next Alaskan Cruise but still. It’s something about not knowing what is lurking in the waters around me while simultaneously getting hypothermia. Enough said.
Best Movie You’ve Seen Recently: I will make a disclaimer before I give you an answer: I am one of those freaks who doesn’t watch movies or even television for that matter. So reserve judgment. Nevertheless, I’d say my favorite movie as of right now is Toy Story 3. I saw it over winter break with the family and whether it was the onset of nostalgia for my last college semester or the excessive consumption of red wine, I thought it was a gem.
Favorite Place in the World: Driving in my car, particularly, the ride between Ohio and Wake. There is nothing quite like this long drive through North Carolina, Virginia, Ohio and even West Virginia (wild and wonderful, anyone?). It is seven hours of the tunes turned up, the beauty of the mountains all around me and the uncontainable excitement of having a family waiting for me at home on either end. In my eyes, that’s a pretty perfect place to be.
Post-Graduate Plans: Oh the dreaded ‘g’ word. 1. I hate this question. 2.  I have decided to act like I’m not a senior for the entirety of this semester (mature, I know). 3. Would it be awkward if I said I had no idea? You’d probably have better luck asking the Medical Schools if they have any intention of accepting me. If that’s a no go, I’ll probably do some sort of gap year program before regrouping. If it’s a yes, well then you have your answer. But more or less, I’m just waiting for a response.
In a Perfect Universe,…I’d have super-powers. Perhaps I’d pick the ability to read minds or ace all my classes without studying. Think about it. That would be sweet. But in all seriousness, in a perfect universe I would end up working with Doctors Without Borders or Operation Smile in an effort to save and better the lives of individuals in third world countries. Think about it. That would be really, really sweet.
Words to Live By: I stumbled upon this video during finals a few years back (definition of procrastination) but I really enjoy what it has to say. If you didn’t like it, deal with it or at least wear sunscreen.
Favorite Philanthropy: Now it’s time to give my shameless plug (aka this is the only reason I was selected as a Campus Cutie…I mean really, you thought I got this on my own accord? No.). This year, I am one of the 2011 Wake ‘N Shake co-chairs. For those of you who happen to live under a rock, Wake ‘N Shake is our University’s largest campus-wide, student-run dance marathon. It is twelve hours of madness (i.e. endless amounts of food, dancing, competitions, prize giveaways…the list goes on and on) benefiting Brian Piccolo Cancer Research Fund at WFUBMC’s Comprehensive Cancer Center. The event is set to happen on Saturday, March 19 in the Reynolds Gymnasium and trust me, it will blow you away. Cancer is something that has undoubtedly affected us all and Wake ‘N Shake provides the students of campus the opportunity to take action and fight back. I could continue to ramble for days but instead I’d love for you all to visit www.wakenshake.com and check us out. It’s such an amazing event and a very worthy cause…so please register starting February 15. You won’t regret it.
