Jonathan Chawla

Hometown: New Orleans

Major(s): History and Neuroscience

Minor: Music

Relationship Status: Single

Age: “One month til 20 (which means I have less than 30 days to become a teenage prodigy. I better get on that.)”

Do you still have your tonsils: “I sure do.”

Favorite place to go in New Orleans: Audubon Zoo

What is your idea of a truly romantic evening: “Truthfully, it involves cooking a delicious dinner together, swaying to smooth jazz on Frenchmen, and then heading back home to discuss fiction and theology under a Snuggie on the sofa.”

What do you look for in a girl: “A girl who has self-respect but is not self-centered, and a fun, clever, and unique personality is a must.”

If you’re driving at the speed of light and you turn on you headlights, what happens: “Having the quintessential muscle car (a compact and highly efficient Corolla – don’t judge, it has a spoiler!), I was lucky the Asians who designed it anticipated such a situation.  When I turn the headlights on, the headlights don’t actually turn on. Instead, a disco ball descends through my moon roof, the DJ in the backseat blasts some music, and the wookie I picked up while passing Jupiter and I get the party started. In space. At the speed of light. In a Toyota (don’t underestimate the Asians.”
