We all want long, luscious locks that miraculously look perfect every day when we wake up. Well unfortunately for us, life’s not fair. Every time I get my hair done, I tell the stylist that I was “Kardashian Hair,” which she tells me is the number one client request. Aside from spending thousands on hair extensions, there is a way to get the hair you want: vitamins.
My hairdresser suggested I start taking the vitamin Biotin, which is linked to health of the skin, nerves, digestive tract, metabolism, and cells, according to WebMD. Biotin is also known as vitamin H or B7, and is a water-soluble B-complex vitamin, according to WebMD. Doctors often recommend for people who experience hair loss to take Biotin.
My hair has never grown fast. It was always thin, had major breakage, and split ends from daily blowing out and straightening. Upon my hairdresser’s suggestion, I started taking Biotin every morning and almost immediately saw a difference. My started growing, and not just breaking! In a few months, my hair grew almost between four and five inches, which, before taking the vitamin, would have taken a year.
Another added bonus of the vitamin was that my nails started growing faster and stronger as well. They know chip and break less often, and are much nicer looking. Apart from calling Biotin a miracle drug, the vitamin truly works!
I may not have Kardashian hair (fingers crossed!), but my locks are longer and stronger, and I’m not afraid to get a trim anymore, for fear it would never grow back. You can buy Biotin at most drugstores, and grocery stores. I got a bottle at Wal Mart for under $3.
Who knew that long hair was just a vitamin away?
