What it Means to “Wear the Pants”

This year, Her Campus has partnered up with LOFT for their annual “Wear the Pants” campaign. The “Wear the Pants” campaign features real LOFT associates modeling LOFT’s signature “Leg-Lengthening Trousers.”

Her Campus “Wears the Pants”:

When we first heard about LOFT’s “Wear the Pants” campaign we were absolutely thrilled because the concept of “wearing the pants” resonates deeply with what we do every day at Her Campus.

The thought of three 22-year-old girls working together to run a business is something that would have been unheard of even 50 years ago. For us, the “wear the pants” campaign is about more than “leg-lengthening trousers” (although the pants do make your legs go for miles). For us, the “wear the pants” campaign represents taking control of our own destinies and choosing to start and run our own business rather than getting “real” jobs. 

“Wearing the pants” means a lot of things to us at Her Campus. It means being comfortable and confident in your own skin. It means feeling great and looking even better. It means aspiration and ambition. It means not letting anyone tell you that you’re too young, too inexperienced, or too naive to run a company. It means never taking “no” for an answer. It means taking charge of your own life.
