Dear College Students Across America,
Sorry to break it to you, but I go to school in the greatest city in the world. New Orleans has so much history, tradition, and attractions that it seems impossible to fit everything into one weekend—or even the four-year adventure that is college.

Last summer, my friend Jay and I set out to do just that, and we created a New Orleans Bucket List. The Bucket List includes, at latest count, 158 things to do in New Orleans and surrounding areas, from restaurants and rodeos, happy hours at bars and Habitat for Humanity builds, and festivals celebrating everything from jazz to strawberries. A popular saying in New Orleans is “Laissez les bon temps rouler,” or “Let the good times roll.” So as I begin my Bucket List adventure, that’s the goal: to see and do it all, and have a blast discovering my new home.
