Unexpected Motivation

Yesterdays workout went better than I expected, I have to credit some unexpected motivation. This guy i’ve been crushing on showed up, halfway through my run, on the treadmill next to mine.

We had a quick conversation while running, it’s not easy. But the conversation was going well. That is, until I went to put my iPod back in. I pulled the headphone too far which sent my iPod from the holder on the machine to the belt of my treadmill and was then shot-gunned by the belt into the wall.

I didn’t think the belt was moving that fast, the chip in the corner of my iPod disagrees.

I recovered by saying “I meant to do that.” He laughed.

This embarrassing situation gave me an idea. A gym date would be an awesome reason to really push yourself, just don’t drop your MP3. So try it out and let me know how it goes.

 Down to the stats:

  • Cardio: running and walking at an incline, 4 miles in 52 minutes.
  • Strength: ab workout, 10 minutes.

For dinner:

  • Chicken marsala, one piece
  • Noodles, 2 cups
  • assorted fruit, 2 cups

Todays lunch is shown in the photo.

By some miracle my legs feel fine, so I think i might try another run with some sprinting. Also, I don’t think I can wake-up early to workout so I’m getting into a pattern of going at night. What are your patterns? Any suggestions for the early morning wake-up?

Any comments, suggestions, questions, tips, encouragement, recipes, workouts… Like, anything… is very much appreciated.
