Shopping at Bal Harbour + a crime scene!

This entire trip, I’ve been super excited to go with Windsor and Annie to Bal Harbour Shops in Miami.  It’s a super fancy and beautiful outdoor mall with a store for practically every designer- basically it’s perfect for window shopping!  There is also a delicious Italian restaurant there called Carpaccio.  We hadn’t made it there yet, so we decided to head there last night to walk around the shops and eat dinner for our last night of our trip.

We each wore one of our new purchases from the outlet mall!  Annie wore a new dress she got at Nordstrom Rack, I wore a new skirt I got at the Michael Kors outlet, and Windsor wore new leopard pumps by Stuart Weitzman that she got at Nordstrom Rack.  Here are our outfits!

Here we are in front of some of our favorite stores!

The three of us!

Once we were done window shopping, we walked to the restaurant to eat dinner- only to discover it had been taped off as a crime scene between the time we got to the mall and the time we showed up at the restaurant!  Just an hour before we had walked by the restaurant and seen people eating there!  Now there was yellow tape everywhere, tons of police, everyone had been evacuated, and people were sitting writing witness reports.  We had no idea what had happened!  But we knew we weren’t eating dinner there.

Then we headed to another Italian restaurant for dinner, and while there, found an article online about the Bal Harbour restaurant- a shooting had taken place there just now while we were in the mall and two people had been shot!  Apparently two men got in a fight, and one pulled out a gun and shot the other one and also shot an innocent bystander, and then drove away.  So crazy and scary, but even more shocking because this was at a super upscale restaurant.  The article said that both people had survived, and we don’t know if they’ve caught the shooter yet or not.  SO crazy!
