Lose the Freshman 15: A Cookie Monster on a Diet

This is a sponsored feature. All opinions are 100% from Her Campus.

Hi collegiettes™!

I’m thinking the best part about losing the freshman 15 with the Jump Start Diet is that I don’t feel hungry. I won’t lie, my initial reaction to the diet was “Oh God, I’m starving,” but I really wasn’t– I just wasn’t used to snacking all day long.

With a nutritious 1,600 calories a day for three meals, a snack and a dessert, I never feel like I’m skipping meals or starving when I see the inches gradually coming come each week. 060

I’ve mentioned before my heartache when I realized I had to overcome my sweet tooth, and have sweets in moderation. Lucky for me, the Jump Start Diet, 200 calorie desserts were included such as a baked apple, a banana pop, a ½ cup of vanilla bean ice cream, fondue, and much more!

My passion for writing and baking (and eating) met last year when I started a baking blog. I went through my recipes in search of something that was under 200 calories and more importantly, tasty!

The recipe calls for peppermint, but I always leave it out because I think peppermint is just disgusting!

Here it is:
