Who actually wants to know the ranking of sororities, the sexiest stoner, the absolute best fraternity on campus or who that girl is at the rec with the tightest shorts on?
Everyone has their own opinions about College ACB- Some absolutely hate it and some can’t get enough of it. Why does this website have so much publicity on our campus and how does it create so many opinions?
Â
The website was originally created to provide an anonymous confession board for universities nationwide. A message from Peter Frank, former College ACB manager, said that the website started use at only a few schools and then became the largest college anonymous confession board in the world, with over 20 million monthly pageviews from over 400,000 unique visitors.
Â
“Mostly, though, I’m proud of the occasions when the site has helped people share feelings and discuss sensitive topics in a sincere fashion that might not otherwise have been possible,” Frank said in the message posted on the website.
However, the website stirs up a ton controversy. Just by taking a quick glance at the site, a reader can see comments and posts such as “Top five douche bags at ISU” or this girl has herpes, this guy is the biggest player, etc. While some users take the website as a joke, some take it too seriously, people can get offended.
It’s unique to see a post that has a positive spin. But when there is one, it’s interesting to see what people have to say anonymouslyabout certain positive things on campus.

See your name or group up on the website?  Don’t want it up there? College ACB has responded to users and has deleted over 30,000 posts, while still preserving the site’s essential identity as an open anonymous forum.

So now it’s their turn…. Thoughts on College ACB. GO!
