As you may have guessed from my earlier blogs, after losing 15 lbs with the Jump Start Diet, I’m feeling pretty darn good.

Today I was extra excited because a friend of mine who is a photographer agreed to do a quick shoot for my graduation announcements. I wanted to put pictures of Addison and I together in them too before our actual engagement announcements though. The last picture my family has received of me was from my high school senior prom…with my EX boyfriend.  Yup, definitely in need of a new photo for the family.

So the lovely Kristin Kirk shot Addison and I really quick before dinner. Photos tend to be a sore spot with a lot of people—especially girls and especially especially overweight girls like myself.

Now, I’ve never been one to hide from a camera, but I definitely can understand the sentiment.  I’ve had unflattering photos taken or noticed how a certain angle made me look less than how fabulous I felt. It happens to everyone no matter how much you weigh.

That’s why you just gotta step in front of the camera sometimes. Am I where I want to be with my weight still?3a652df6 No, but I’m definitely proud of this huge milestone. Does my weight define who I am? Definitely not. Am I still pretty? Psshaw, of course!

And trust me. Pretty pictures of yourself can definitely boost your self-esteem. Sometimes it’s nice to pamper yourself and flaunt your glamorous side.

Am I going to be a model anytime soon? Probably not. But am I happy with myself? 100 percent yes.

If you haven’t noticed, this journey has “happy, healthy weight loss” in the title. Being happy is key to this whole process. If you aren’t happy with yourself now, then how will you ever be happy at any stage of your life?

So go out there and celebrate your progress with your own weight loss journey or celebrate just being you and snap a photo or two. You don’t need a six-pack to be photogenic. You’re already absolutely beautiful! Make sure you tell yourself that every day.

But if you do want to get a handle on your health, take the next step and sign up for the free Jump Start Diet. It definitely has changed my life. Isn’t time to change yours?
