Here are a few easy things to do and/or ways to relieve some of that unwanted stress that we’re all on the verge of feeling with finals on the horizon!
- Work out. “Exercise gives you endorphins and endorphins make you happy!” Take Elle Woods’ advice. Harvard is probably more stressful than Madison, right?
- Hook up. Every single person’s goal (before, after and during finals season).
- Nap. Life always seems better, tasks always more do-able and people far less annoying AFTER you wake up from a nap.
- Sell your books. This is the only thing I look forward to at the very end of the spring semester (other than Mifflin) since I usually leave Madison shortly after my book transactions are complete.
- Take a shopping break. With the funds you’ve just acquired from selling said books!
- Clean. It helped Monica from FRIENDS when she was stressed, and a clean room makes for a clean mind!
- Pack. Visual proof you’ve actually accomplished something and one less thing to worry about after your finals are done when all you want to do is celebrate and soak up the last few hours/days with your besties.
- Shower. You might as well be clean if you’re already sacrificing sleep!
- Hit up the Terrace. Tanning, lounging, drinking, laughing – all good things!
- Just do your work. The more you check off that mental to-do list, the less you have to freak out about, thus less stress in your life!
