I want Kate Middleton’s closet. All of it. Ideally, if everything went my way I would have her life, but seeing as that’s a little ambitious, perhaps we can all settle for something a little more realistic β her sense of fashion β for now (Harry, I’m comin’ for you!).
Last week, the Duchess made her first ever visit to the States during her North America visit, and her outfits lived up to her royal status. What else can you expect from a fashionista who changes outfits during her flight from Canada to the U.S. (can you say diva)?Β
Click on for some of our favorite Kate In North America outfits, and how you can get the look for less…as if we all had somewhere to wear floor-sweeping gowns!

Casual Chic
We can all breath a collective sigh of relief β even royals have casual days. But while we might opt for leggings and our go-to comfort tee, Kate is still dressed impeccably from her trendy utilitarian top down to her moccasins. While your white shoes might not stay as pristine as Kate’s on a hike (how does she manage that? The Queen must have taught her well.), you can still be just as chic and collected β a simple button-up and slim, dark wash denim makes any look sophisticated without being uncomfortably crisp! Kate is in J Brand jeans, a camp shirt and Sebago Bela shoes.

All About Business
Who looks this good when visiting the fire-damaged grounds of Alberta, Cananda? Who? Kate merged classic business attire with summer trends in this outfit by layering a fitted blazer over a textured blouse and finishing the ensemble with cute but comfortable wedges. It looks like even Kate packs light β she’s wearing the same J Brand skinnies with a Smythe blazer and Pied a Terre Imperia espadrilles.

Daytime Date
Kate took to the fields at a charity polo match in Santa Barbara last week and proved that even a simple (and conservative!) sundress can be an it-look for an it-girl. Granted, we can’t all have dresses made with handpainted silk, like this de Gournay chinoiserie dress by Jenny Packham, but paired with the accessories that don’t draw attention away from the centerpiece, such as neutral-colored shoes and a clutch, any dress can be just as stunning.

Floor-sweeping Fabulousness
Oh, you know, just another night out at the BAFTAs. Not a big deal because we were all invited, we all look that great in a gown, the wind always hits us at all the right angles so our hair frames our face perfectly and we definitely all have a handsome prince next to us. In our dreams. Kate accentuates her svelte figure by cinching the waist of a flowy chiffon dress β a move that makes everybody look amazing, whatever body type you have! Kate’s wearing a lilac chiffon Alexander McQueen gown, Jimmy Choo Vamp heels, a Jimmy Choo Ubai clutch and chandelier earrings borrowed from the Queen.
