“Whispering Close,” a statue by Seward Johnson Jr., perches among students in the Plaza of the Americas. The fixture is part of “Closing Paths,” an exhibition that features more than 15 of Johnson’s life-like statues speckled across campus. The art is a surprising welcoming to students who weren’t on campus during summer session, when the exhibition debuted. The statues will be on campus through Oct. 13.
