September 14, 2011 marks the one-year anniversary of Her Campus’s launch at Elon University. It seems unimaginable that almost a year has gone by, and with the amount of hard work, perseverance, and success that has already come, I can only envision what is to come years after.

In the past year, Her Campus Elon has gotten over 25,000 page views by our readers, 230 plus Twitter followers, and approximately 185 Facebook fans. We have a dedicated group of over thirty writers who receive weekly emails with story ideas, and pitch their own ideas for stories, too. And at the end of this past spring semester, our leaders have grown from just myself to adding six more enthusiastic Elon collegiettes™ to help with the process of editing, writing, marketing, and more.

Her Campus, the famous and most popular website for college women, has grown as well. Having secured numerous partnerships with publications and outlets such as The Huffington Post, Seventeen, SELF, and Rent the Runway, the site has grown in reputation among college campuses across the nation and companies in the
media world. With 150 plus colleges running their own branch of Her Campus after only two years of business, it is only evident that more success is to come their way with the advancing and flourishing campus branches, and dedicated writers for the main site.

Her Campus Elon remains to be a popular site for the ladies of Elon University who want to read about fashion, beauty, health, career and love advice, and much more that is dedicated solely to Elon’s beautiful campus (the most beautiful in the country, according to certain sites). As an online magazine, we are willing to accept challenges that might come our way and are excited to produce another year of content, and hope to continue to grow in loyal readers, like you.
