What to Wear: Dressing For A Night Out

Everyday we roll out of our beds (well, not the lofted ones) and think of what to wear. A little acronym I came up with is W2W (what to wear).  The clothes you wear give off an impression, whether one day you choose to look classy or preppy, casual or hippy.

A time when you want to look especially good is when you’re going out.  Whether the clothes you wear give you the confidence to finally talk to that cute guy in your Econ class, or you’re posing for a new facebook profile picture, everyone wants to look good when they paint the UConn city blue. 

Here are some tips for the next time you go out:
 
If you plan on walking to a party, wear comfortable shoes!  Although it is tempting to rock a new pair of heels, the blisters the next day will make you regret that decision.  Here are some more comfortable (but still stylish!) options:

Ballet flats are a cute alternative like the one’s shown below from Gap.  These lace ones will add the extra bit of class your outfit needs.

Now that the weather is getting colder, it’s also a good idea to invest in a comfortable, but still fashionable, pair of boots.  These boots from Old Navy are cute and wont break the bank at only $44.94.

Clothes are all about expressing yourself, so have fun with fashion!  Mix patterns and colors, don’t be afraid to stand out! Fashion is all about making a statement.
