Val Recipe of the Week: Tuna Salad

Ingredients

  • Lettuce (any kind you like)
  • Shredded Tuna
  • Jalapeno slices
  • Olives
  • Raw onion slices
  • Croutons
  • A dash of olive oil
  • A dash of vinegar

This is a really easy recipe (indeed barely a recipe at all!) because it has no ingredient that’s set in stone (except for the tuna of course.  And the salad). Feel free to add some more yumminess from the salad bar: baby tomatoes, baby carrots, mushrooms– the possibilities are ENDLESS!  And– wait for it… it’s HEALTHY! Tuna is an excellent source of proteins, potassium and vitamin B12 (also known as the energy vitamin). Plus there is the added advantage of forever being able to fit into your favorite pair of shorts (it is NOT winter yet, people!).
