Her Campus has partnered up with Truvia and HC UNC is in a competition with more than 175 Her Campus branches across the nation to retweet this tweet more than any others. Truvia is a natural sugar substitute and a healthy alternative to artificial sugar, available now at Starbucks and Barnes & Nobles cafés. It’s promoted by dieticians such as Dr. Mike Moreno the author of the book, “The 17 Day Diet.” We have two Starbucks here in Chapel Hill, one on South Campus and one on Franklin so head there today to try out this new product.

The price is right; Truvia is available in boxes of 40-count ($3.99), 80-count ($6.49) and 140-count ($10.99) packets and is sold at most grocery stores as well as Wal-Mart and Target. Pick it up the next time you’re grocery shopping and I promise you won’t be disappointed. I personally use Truvia all the time in my hot tea and add it to sugar-free yogurt with raspberries. You can sweeten your coffee or sprinkle it on fruit; you can even bake with it. I know how all you North Carolinians love your iced tea so here’s a recipe for sweet tea, just substitute sugar for Truvia! Best of all, this product has zero calories. Zero! So pick it up the next time you’re getting coffee or groceries and retweet us now to help us win this competition! You can follow us @HerCampusUNC for daily updates on our articles!
