Boston Fashion Week is bigger than ever this year, packed with dozens of shows, events, and even the premiere of the city’s first Fashion Night Out. Not wanting to miss out on all the fun, Her Campus Tufts headed to the Smiling Stilettoes annual fashion show to take a look at which shoe styles are popular for fall. A networking group for women who love their shoes, Smiling Stilettos has branches nation wide and not only provides opportunities for women to meet and socialize, but also for them to show off their favorite pair of heels! For this event, the camera lenses came off the runway as our photographer, Justin, snapped photos of some of Smiling Stilettos most stylish members’ footwear.
Trends we noticed? Platforms and sky-high stilettos are here to stay, satin is back, and animal prints are strong as ever. The overall theme though, is just to have fun, whether with Lolita-meets-Judy Garland sequined platforms or satin purple bows – the biggest faux pas in footwear is to allow your feet to be boring.
