The Most Bliss for Your Buck!

It’s early October, and no longer back-to-school season. By now, you feel like you’re drowning in schoolwork, readings, and things to do with your never-ending list of work for all your extracurriculars. Thanksgiving break isn’t yet close enough to touch and Christmas break is even further away. Midterms are quickly approaching and you feel like you need to get away now more than ever. But when you hardly have a day let alone a weekend off, you need a quick way to de-stress.

I was lucky enough to snag a “BIP” (Bliss important person) pass from HC and treated myself last friday to a day at Bliss Boston. I booked online, which was super easy because Bliss schedules your appointments in a row for you. I got 20% off and got my eyebrows waxed and a manicure for less than $50. But for that I got much more than just my eyebrows and fingers primped. I got an afternoon of relaxation with one of my favorite HC co-workers Lorena, who is the CC of Her Campus Emerson.

We were greeted at the door by one of the friendly Bliss staffers and showed to the elevator to go upstairs to the desk where we checked in for our appointments. The receptionist upstairs showed us to the women’s locker room and lounge, where we were able to change into our lush robes and lock away all our worries… er, cell phones, laptops, and keys. We waited in the lounge and snacked on brownies, cheese, and crackers, and sipped on lemon water and tea. The clean and colorful environment was a nice break from the gray surrounding of city life.

The Bliss staff was friendly and nice and were there to make our experience as enjoyable as possible. After our appointments, we soaked in the eucalyptus shower. I think I would have paid $50 for this shower alone! I left feeling like I went on a mini-vacation.

And Collegiettes™, you can get the same BIP treatment by getting 20% if you have an A paper to bring in to show Bliss! Don’t forget to join their rewards club, The ‘Glow’-it-All Club and make your appointment online for easy booking.

Happy Bliss-ing, Collegiettes™!
