When we get to school in the fall, most of us can’t wait to show off our new clothing. But let’s be honest, after the first month of school the skinny jeans and nice boots get shoved further and further back into our tiny dorm room closets, and the sweatpants and Uggs start making their way out. We’ve got to figure out how to get ourselves to wear that stuff we spent so much time and money on! Here are some staples that make for great style, and the best part is that they require minimal effort. At school, that’s definitely what you need when you’re waking up 10 minutes before class every day!
Patterned or colored leggings: These are great because they’re as easy to put on as the black variety, but they add automatic flair and style without any added effort.
Flannel shirts always look good. They’re cozy and they can be worn in different ways, like open over a t-shirt with the sleeves rolled up, or buttoned over jeans and boots.
A black shift dress is awesome because it’s comfortable, and you can slip it on any time of year. Wear it with stockings and a scarf in the winter, or with sandals and a belt in the spring.
Chunky, brown boots can be worn all the time, and they look so much cuter than Uggs. Wear them with everything from your leggings to your cute summer dress. If you want to make them feel as warm as Uggs do, buy a great pair or socks to wear with them!
If you haven’t washed your hair in days and need an easy way to make it look respectable, put it up in a ponytail or bun and slide on a headband. It smoothes out your flyaways, and adds an easy combination of style and functionality.
