Part of being Emersonian, in my opinion, is being extremely ambitious and knowing what steps you want to take in order to get where you want in life. Alright, that sounded a little pretentious, but that’s #SoEmerson, right?
What I mean is this β I pride myself on consistently proving my ambition and drive to get where I want in life. Sometimes that means not partying with my roommates on the weekdays, or having to get up super early to send emails for all the extracurriculars I’m a part of. Being brainy β and driven β is a beautiful thing!
Another part of being Emersonian β and I’m sure you’ll agree with me on this β is being constantly stressed. Luckily, thanks to both Her Campus and bliss Spa, I was given the opportunity to try out a much-need spa treatment!
I went with my friend and fellow HC Emerson writer Krista, who got a manicure. As soon as we stepped foot in the spa, we were whisked into a relaxing lounge that smelled incredible. We were given robes and slippers and all the fudge brownies we wanted β perfect!!! I’d read up a little bit about bliss Boston before my visit, and almost everyone raved about the legendary brownies. They will not disappoint.
I chose to go with the Oxygen Blast Facial (not to be confused with the Triple Oxygen Treatment, which I’ll definitely start saving up for!) and I think it’s safe to say my life β and face β has been changed for the better. TMI-time β I’d been dealing with an awful batch of blemishes on my forehead practically all summer and it wasn’t getting any better. It’s been a few days since my facial, and I’m over the moon.
Through a series of eucalyptus aromatherapy, pore-unclogging and vitamin massages, my face was literally transformed. On top of that, the entire facial was done while I was tucked in a bed with super-comfy blankets and mood-lighting. I can honestly say I’ve never felt more relaxed in my entire life.
Post-facial, I took advantage of the steam showers (I’d popped over after a crazy-intensive Vinyasa Yoga session) and fell in love with the lemon-sage soap and hair collection.
My facial may have only been 30 minutes, but I ended up lounging at bliss for almost 2 hours! Between my stay in their relaxing rooms, trips to the brownie buffet and a-MAZ-ing grass-tiled steam showers, I had the stay of a lifetime.
And you know what else? You can too! NOW through October 15th, bring in your school I.D and get 15% off any spa treatment! If you got an ‘A’ on a recent test or paper, you can bring it in for a 20% discount!
