HC Harvard Visits Bliss Spa at the W Hotel

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Harvard chapter.

As a Harvard student, it’s easy to never leave Cambridge. We have everything we need right in our backyard! But every once in a while it can be great to jump on the T and venture into the incredible city of Boston.

Last week, I had the chance to visit Bliss Spa at the W Hotel. I called on Friday morning to make an appointment and they were able to fit me in for that afternoon. A short walk from Park Street Station (right on the red line!), the spa was very easy to get to. Immediately upon entering the doors of the W’s beautiful lobby, a friendly doorman directed me up the stairs towards the spa.

The lobby smelled amazing and was decorated with signature Bliss spa colors, and as soon as I walked in the receptionist greeted me by name and offered me a tour of the space. The women’s locker room was extremely modern and well-equipped with Bliss Spa products like lotion and face wash, and there were steam showers for anyone who wanted to use them.

After the tour, I made myself comfortable in the lobby, where I enjoyed bite-sized brownies and Ginger Pear tea. There was also a selection of cheese, olives, crackers and cucumbers that was constantly replenished. At the manicure and pedicure station, television screens (with headsets available) were playing and guests enjoyed the view of the street below.

The best part of the Bliss Spa Experience? The 15% student discount Monday-Thursday with a valid ID! Up through October 15, Bliss is doing a promotion called “Being Brainy is a Beautiful Thing,” a sentiment Her Campus Harvard certainly agrees with! And in addition to the 15% student discount, they’re offering a 20% discount with an “A” paper. How’s that for extra incentive to do well?

If there was ever a reason to get out of Cambridge, this is it. In addition to relaxing at the spa, there are tons of options for things to do in the area. There is a movie theater by the T stop and several restaurants across the street, and the W Hotel itself is a great place to explore.

Have you been to Bliss Spa at the W Hotel? Do you plan to go? Let us know!
