Suit Shopping at Express

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Express for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Suits are not fun. And shopping for suits is not exactly the shopping trip most fashionistas are eager to go on. But wearing suits is pretty much inevitable. I mean, you can’t exactly wear your Uggs and Victoria’s Secret sweatpants to a job interview. I mean, I guess you could, but I don’t think you’ll get the job.

So on my mission to find a suit I actually liked — as much as one can like a suit — I stumbled upon Express. I was surprised to find they had suits (I’m a big fan of their swimsuits and jeans, but had clearly ignored their business suits), and a fair selection of women’s suits at that. Having been less-than-impressed with my appearance in a skirt suit before, I decided to try on the Women’s Zig Zag Tweed One Button Jacket ($108) and Zig Zag Tweed Editor Pants ($78).

Confession: I actually really liked the suit.

The suit was next to this sequined shirt in the store and I decided to spice things up by trying that on. It made the suit fun! (You can tell I added a casual spin to the suit). Now, maybe this isn’t job-interview appropriate, but it is definitely fun for happy hours and more casual-setting jobs. Anytime things can go from work to play I’m happy.

So…The pants? Actually comfortable. And flattering. The jacket? Surprisingly non-constricting. SOLD.

Unfortunately for collegiettes™ sometimes a flattering suit isn’t in our budgets. Fortunately, Express is offering you a chance at a $500 suiting makeover, so make sure to enter the Express sweepstakes.

Enter the contest. Try the suits on. Buy a great looking suit. Look your best. Win the interviewer offer. Snag the job offer. You got this!
