I got a chance to sit down with senior biology major Ike Uzomah from College Park, MD. I must say I was very impressed by his eloquent speech, sophisticated appearance, and overall swag. Uzomah is president of Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity incorporated, a member of Black Student Union, member of the review board for  Student Entertainment Events and also part of the Charles Drew Pre-med Society. And on top of all that he is single!

HC:  What are some of your interests?
IKE:  I like being around girls, playing sports, being with my family, and traveling.

HC: What is your favorite thing about College Park?
IKE: I enjoy meeting a variety of people here from different backgrounds, races, and ethnicities.

HC: What was your best year at the University of Maryland?
IKE: Freshman year was my best year. I was free-spirited and able to enjoy college without the heavy academic burden.  It was good to make that transition from high school to early adulthood.

HC: What are your plans after graduation?
IKE: I plan on attending an accelerated nursing program at Columbia University in New York and eventually become a certified registered nurse anesthetist.

HC: What is something about you most people wouldn’t expect?
IKE: People are surprised I’m smart because I tend to act goofy.

HC:What is your most embarrassing moment?
IKE: When I was six-years-old, I went swimming and my shorts were big. When I jumped in the pool my shorts kind of slipped off and I was naked.

HC: What is your biggest fear?
IKE: Being in a career I’m not happy with or finding my career too late in life to be able to enjoy it.

HC: If you could be on any TV show, which one would it be?
IKE: My Wife and Kids. That’s how I would like my family to be; families can learn from that show.

HC: At what age do you want to have kids?
IKE: 28

HC: If you could be any celebrity who would you be?
IKE: Will Smith because he’s very multi-dimensional. He’s an actor, rapper, producer and a great dad. He has a lot of qualities I would like to emulate.

HC:  Who is your celebrity crush?
IKE: Alicia Keys

HC: Set the scene and give me an original pick-up line.
IKE: If I was on my way to class and saw a girl sitting by herself eating lunch, I would say ‘excuse me miss you’re very beautiful, I’ve missed the opportunity to have lunch with you, but if you give me your number I won’t miss it again. ‘

HC: How you feel about girls making the first move?
IKE: It’s shows they are independent.

HC: What kind of girls do you like?
IKE: I like girls with long hair, light skin, Coca-Cola body with an exquisite personality and enthusiasm.

HC: What turns you off?
IKE: I don’t like girls that are clingy, aggressive, or have attitudes and no independence.

HC:What’s a deal breaker for you?
IKE: Saying ‘I love you’ too soon

HC:Where would you take a girl on a date in College Park?
IKE: Noodles and Co.

HC: Describe your perfect date if money was not an option.
IKE: I would take her to an expensive dinner at Maggiano’s Italian restaurant and then to a concert.  I would end the night with champagne, moscato and rose petals at The W Hotel in DC on the rooftop where we can see a great view of D.C.

HC: How do you want to be remembered after your gone?
IKE:  As a man that laid down a pathway for others to follow.

HC: What’s your motto?
IKE: It’s not the grades you make; it’s the hands you shake.
