It’s that time of the year again. The air is crisp, the leaves are crunchy and Collegiettes everywhere are preparing to parade around campus in body-baring costumes. That’s right girls, it’s Halloween.

We work hard all year to keep our bodies in tip-top shape, but when we’re suddenly surrounded by colorful candies and chocolate delights, even the most strong-willed of us may feel the urge to indulge.

And while these fun-size bites may look innocent, Halloween’s treats have a sneaky way of creeping up in calories.

So, how can we enjoy our candy and still look like eye candy? It’s not as hard as you might think. Her Campus is here to help!

Trick: Butterfinger Bar (fun-size) = 100 calories, 4g of fat

Treat: 3 Musketeers Bar (fun-size) = 63 calories, 2g of fat

Trick: Reeses Pumpkin (1 pumpkin) = 170 calories, 10g of fat

Treat: Mini Reeses Cup (2 cups) = 80 calories, 5g of fat

Trick: Airheads (3 pieces) = 140 calories, 1.5g of fat

Treat: Candy Corn (11 pieces) = 70 calories, 0g of fat

Trick: Twix Miniatures (3 pieces) = 150 calories, 8g of fat

Treat: Tootsie Roll (3 pieces) = 70 calories, 1.5g of fat

Like anything, it’s really all about moderation. Try to stick with just one fun-size bar, rather than three, and remember that calories add up fast.

With the right choices, you can satisfy your sweet tooth and still rock that sexy costume!

Happy Halloweekend!
