Most Collegiettes™ have very limited income. We’re poor. We have to stretch our dollar on the things that matter most. Aside from cheap booze, it’s food.
Luckily, a lot of restaurants in Blacksburg have daily food specials that can save some cash. Here are some of the best:
Mondays
Sycamore Deli—This deli is one of the least expensive places to eat in town. They typically feature a special each day, but they are most well known for Meatball Mondays. $5.25 gets you a 12” meatball sub, with chips, a chocolate chip cookie, and a drink.
Moe’s—Every Moe’s Monday has a special of $5.55 for any one of their burritos, chips, and a drink. It’s a great bargain as well as a great time to finally get that steak burrito when all you were previously able to afford was vegetarian.
Sharkey’s—Every Monday, Sharkey’s offers a buy one, get one free deal on any of their 14 burgers. They’ll even let you split the discount with a whole table full of people.
Tuesdays
Chinese Kitchen—Signing up for Campusfoods.com makes the food ordering process from a lot of different restaurants accessible in one place, as well as great deals. To anyone signed up, they offer 15 percent off any order placed with Chinese Kitchen on Tuesdays.
Wednesdays
Macado’s—This restaurant hosts the Mexican Fiesta Feast every Wednesday. Every Mexican entrée or appetizer on the menu, from quesadillas to nachos to fajitas, is only $5.55. They give out free chips and salsa as well.
Thursdays
PK’s Bar & Grill—From 5-10 pm every Thursday PK’s hosts the Tijuana Toss. Every person who orders an XL (16”) one-topping pizza gets to flip a coin with the chance of getting that pizza completely free.
Friday
Gumby’s—This pizza place offers a buy one, get one free deal on any size pizza or Pokey Stix. And they’re open till 3am…perfect for your late night fix.
