Welcome students, one and all, to the first ever English Her Campus branch, you lucky sods. As per usual, Leeds Uni is about 6 steps ahead of everyone else and has hurdled itself onto the US bandwagon that is Her Campus. HC has been a booming success ever since its original launch at Harvard University in the States when three students swooped the Harvard College’s business plan competition in March 2009. Their winning idea was to start up an online magazine for university women that individualises its content uni-by-uni by establishing My Campus branches across America. The time has finally come for England to get in on the action and where better to host the first HC branch than our very own Leeds University. Hallelujah!
 
Our aim here at HC Leeds is to provide you lovely ladies (and gents) out there with a sanctuary of fun and fresh content to peruse at your own leisure – and, let’s be honest, most likely at times when you’ve reached those stale internet moments after having stalked your fave Facebook hotties, their ex partners, every holiday they’ve ever been on, work friends and pets – four times over. But do not fear, for at last a new site has arrived to fill this gaping void of awkwardness and it comes in the form of Her Campus Leeds. So sit back, relax, and enjoy the delights of THE online magazine in Leeds. 

We endeavour to deliver something fresh and fun to our readers and we highly encourage any comments or suggestions you may have on how we can improve our site. Do you know someone who deserves the title of ‘Campus Cutie’? – feel free to put them forward! Is there something that you would like one of our talented writing team to cover? Or know a ‘Campus Celebrity’ who needs bigging up for going that bit further in life? Her Campus Leeds wants to know about it! Hannah first joined Her Campus as part of the Illinois branch as a writer during her study abroad year at UofI. While in the US, Hannah joined Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority and subsequently began to write a weekly column for the Greek newspaper, The Odyssey. Now back home in the UK, Hannah has founded the first ever UK HC branch for her own university, The University of Leeds. She is in her final year of a Politics degree and is excited for the year ahead and what great things Her Campus Leeds will achieve. Outside of her studies, Hannah enjoys travel, fashion and being an alumni of The University of Leeds Celtics Cheerleading squad where she ran as PR Secretary for the committee during her 2nd year.
