This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at U Toronto chapter and does not reflect the views of Her Campus.

This week’s Her Campus U of T Campus Celebrity is a bit different. By now, many of you have had a chance to get to know HC U Toronto and read some of the articles that we’ve published. We’ve tried to feature some of U of T’s best students in our Campus Celebrity section. Students and clubs who simulate UN debates on a weekly basis as well as those who are going to be working the press room at the actual UN. But most importantly, people that are making a difference on campus in some way, shape, or form.

One month ago this week, Her Campus U of T launched after a six month setup process. So to celebrate, we wanted to let you get to know us a little bit better and give you a chance to see where we’re headed over the next year. Below you will find little blurbs written by each member of the Executive explaining who they are and what they want to accomplish.

Sadia Awan, Chief of Staff: Hey you! My name is Sadia. I am currently the Chief of Staff at the UofT chapter of Her Campus and I am studying Human Biology as well as Art History. Interesting facts about me that might possibly cudgel your brains a bit: I love the color yellow, I like long walks to the fridge, and meowing at cats until they meow back is my specialty. Description over, because me in a nutshell would be quite uncomfortable. Carpe Diem!

Natalie Ha, Campus Correspondent, President, Editor in Chief: My name is Natalie and I’m currently a 3rd year student, completing a double major in History and Ethics, Society, and Law. This year I’ll be serving as the Campus Correspondent, President, and Editor in Chief of the U of T branch of Her Campus. Having been a fan of Her Campus for a while now, I hope to show U of T (and the rest of Canada) what Her Campus has to offer as well as show the rest of the world what makes Toronto such an amazing place. I hope to make Her Campus the site that all my fellow collegiettes™ turn to when they’re looking for somewhere to procrastinate this year!

Harriet Lau, Campus Correspondent, President, Editor in Chief: I am currently a 4th year Human Biology student, with minors in Linguistics and East Asian Studies. I love Her Campus and as the Campus Correspondent, as well as the President/Editor-in-chief of HC Utoronto, I’d like to see HC spread on UofT soil! Right now, we are a new club and since the campus is so big, it’s difficult to get the branch noticed. I’d like to see more people talking about Her Campus by the end of the year, and motivate my fantastic team to keep writing articles. Team building is an aspect of HC Utoronto that I believe is important, and I’m hoping for a great year of many fun socials so that the entire team can get to know each other better.

Sophia Mama, Administrative Director: My name is Sophia Mama and I am the Administrative Director of the Her Campus U of T chapter. I am a New College student in my final year of study at the University of Toronto taking a double major in sociology and cinema studies and a minor in political science. I am hoping that the Her Campus U of T chapter will have an outstanding first year promoting membership and views from a variety of students in order to provide a well rounded account of life on our campus.

Olivia Selbie, Director of Marketing and Social Outreach: I’m Olivia, and I’m a second year commerce major. I am very excited to be working as the Director of Marketing and Social Outreach for the brand new Her Campus U of T chapter! This year, I want to get the word out about Her Campus and make sure its first year is a huge success!

Kat Zimmermann, Director of Finance: Hi, I’m Kat! I’m in my fifth and final year studying psychology and neuroscience at U of T. Other than being the Director of Finance of the HerCampus branch at U of T, I occasionally write articles for HerCampus, and have also been involved for two years with U of T’s United Nations Society. I hope everyone is enjoying the articles we’ve offered so far, and my goal for this year is to do what I can to help HerCampus at U of T to grow even more! :)

Thanks so much for reading Her Campus U of T and keep tuning in for more articles!

HCXO,

Natalie has recently completed her second year at the University of Toronto with a double major in History and Ethics, Society, and Law. She is excited to bring Her Campus to U of T and seeing it expand its presence in Canada. She is also active in the school's Model United Nations circles and numerous organizations off campus and is best described as a political and pop culture junkie. Born and raised in Toronto, she is blindingly proud of everything the city has to offer including the best school in the country, no matter what Macleans says, and its sports teams, no matter how many times they may lose or miss the playoffs.
