Major/School? Political Science at Barnard
Year? 2014
Relationship status? Single

Interests/hobbies? Traveling, dancing and Mexican food!
Favorite thing to do in NYC? Student rush tickets for anything… There are so many good shows/ballets/whatever here!
What are qualities that you find attractive in a girl/boy? A guy who knows how to laugh at himself and doesn’t mind that my hair sometimes defies gravity in the mornings.
Your ideal first date? Something involving art and spontaneity and probably a taco truck.
What is the most embarrassing thing that’s ever happened to you on a first date? We didn’t speak the same language. It was a long evening.
If your life was a TV show what would it be? Probably Lost. I have a propensity to end up on desert islands with killer smoke monsters and group of sinister yet lovable fellow castaways. Just kidding, but I would kind of love for that to be my life.
Where do you see yourself after Columbia? Ideally dancing in a ballet company for a couple years and then working with an international NGO that focuses on education in developing countries.
Celebrity lookalike? Someone told me Emma Watson recently, but I think they were just being nice. However, I’m inclined to think that I was Hermione Granger in another life!

Columbia Barnard

Giselle, Class of 2014 at Barnard College, is an Economics major with a minor in French. She was born in New York City, grew up in Ridgewood, NJ, and is excited to be back in her true hometown of New York City. She likes the Jersey Shore (the actual beach, not the show) and seeing something crazy in New York every day!
