When I first heard that College Night was no longer being held at Bourbon I definitely had mixed feelings. Having spent my past two Halloweens surrounded by friends dancing the night away on Bourbon’s long-island iced tea covered dance floors while fully decked out in costume, I was secretly disappointed that our holiday tradition would have to be modified. At the same time I never really possessed the desire to head out to Bourbon’s other college nights throughout the year. Some people may have liked the club, but I never really understood the appeal of dancing with a bunch of men old enough to be my father, who for all I knew came from the streets.

While at first I admit to being hesitant to go to another college night, a few friends and I decided to take a risk and give it a try and go to Mist. For only $25 dollars we had transportation to and from the club, entry, and unlimited drinks for those over 21. Normally when we went to Bourbon we would wait in line for about half an hour and left around an hour after. Going to Mist however was a completely different experience.

When my friends and I arrived at the club we waited in line for about two minutes then headed straight for the dance floor. Instead of partying with half naked girls, the girls there were dressed to impress in a variety of skirts and dresses. Most shockingly of all, for the first time we were at a college night full of college students. Instead of checking the clock every five minutes to see when we could leave, I found myself wishing time would move slower. Mist turned out to be a much classier venue than Bourbon and everyone I talked to had an amazing time.

Have you been to Mist or are going this weekend? Let us know what you think about it in the comments!
