This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Temple chapter and does not reflect the views of Her Campus.

Despite her petite frame, it’s rather difficult to not notice Shaniece Cole, junior, around Temple’s campus. How could you miss that awesome multicolored hair?!

Not only is her hair coloring great, her unique fashion sense is so pleasantly intriguing and her aura is incredibly warm and welcoming. Shaniece never has a dull outfit on, even on her self-described “lazy days.” And I so happened to stop and take snapshot of her on one of those days…you wouldn’t have thought it, right?

This BTMM major loves clothes that “pop” with color, especially anything in bright shades of red. She emanates ‘50s glam with high-waisted shorts and skirts, as well as cherry crimson lipstick.

Don’t expect to see the Lancaster, PA native at the mall anytime soon. Shaniece almost exclusively shops at consignment stores like Retrospective and Buffalo Exchange to get those snazzy vintage-inspired ensembles. But she admits that she loves to shop at Hot Topic to add some funky edge to her looks.

Shaniece’s style icons truly reflect her cool blast-from-the-past style.

I love Madonna, Marilyn Monroe, and I also love the styles from TV shows like “Saved by the Bell” and “In Living Color,” Shaniece said.

She likes to mix different pieces up in her outfits, but there are some accessories that she just can’t leave the house without: her Superman emblem jewelry, especially her Superman ring. “It symbolizes who I am, the colors are representative of me too,” Shaniece explains, “the red represents determination and strength, the blue is success, and the yellow is happiness.”

The red, yellow and blue can also be noted in other pieces of her everyday wear, especially in the form of dyed streaks in her pretty locks. The primary colored streaks in Shaniece’s hair “build onto [her] persona” and just further represents her personality through her fashion sense.

This trendsetter may be a shoe-in for a job as a fashion stylist or editor, but she actually has some other ideas in mind.

“I’ve always wanted to help people. I want to change lives and help young girls achieve their goals and reach their dreams, too,” Shaniece said.

Which is a naturally appropriate ambition for Temple’s super-heroine in red, yellow, and blue.
