On Thursday, Oct. 27 at the Sozo Institute of the Arts, Penn State students had the luxury of attending a NYC high-end fashion show hosted by our very own student-Elysia Mann, a junior and a fashion editor for Valley Magazine.

Elysia received the opportunity of a lifetime as one of the four finalists in the Marie Claire Front Row College Challenge, a contest created by Marie Claire, LOFT and Rimmel London.  Each finalist is able to organize a fashion show at their school by picking the models, clothes, makeup and hairstyles. It’s cool enough to be able to work with Marie Claire’s Editor in Chief, Joanna Coles, but to be able to organize an entire fashion show—that’s every girl’s dream come true.

Overall the fashion show was amazing. I loved the awesome big hairstyles she chose, the cute colors and all the fur. The many different colored belts were great accessories that complemented each outfit.    The atmosphere was upbeat and the music was great.  I really felt like I was in New York City. I only wish it could’ve been longer.

We even got amazing gift bags filled with amazing goodies inside from LOFT, Rimmel London and Marie Claire including the latest issue of Marie Claire, mascara and eye makeup remover from all from Rimmel London, and three holiday makeup bags from LOFT.

If Elysia wins, she receives an unique internship with LOFT and Marie Claire.

Check out Elysia and the other three finalists in the latest issue of Marie Claire and on the website: http://www.marieclaire.com/fashion/trends/front-row-challenge
