With Thanksgiving quickly approaching and then winter break just a few short weeks after, traveling is in the air. As an east coast girl, I understand the hassle of traveling over school breaks. Having to fly every time I want to go home is just as frustrating as figuring out what to wear.  From the long lines at check-in to having to go through the tedious regulations of security, flying is neither fun nor glamorous. Here are some tips to always looking your best while traveling because you never know who you’re going to meet on the Bloomington Shuttle.

Outfit-Always wear a cute, but comfortable outfit. Traveling doesn’t give you the right to wear sweatpants and a sweatshirt; if you thought you could get away with it, you can’t! However, there are ways to still be comfortable without looking like you just swallowed The Indiana Shop. Some cute alternative outfits are a V-neck, zip-up, black leggings, and converse. If you are looking to wear something a little nicer, try a cute sweater, leggings, and either ballet flats, or boots.

Hair-Putting your hair up always seems like the way to go when traveling so it’s out of your face, but that doesn’t mean you can just throw it up into a messy bun and call it a day. Remember your next boyfriend or future husband could be standing behind you in line and the first thing they would see is a rats nest, I mean your hair. A better option is the ballerina bun, which is very “in” right now. Celebs are fashioning this new hairstyle everywhere, from going to the grocery store to out to dinner. There are hundreds of tutorials online to create the perfect ballerina bun.

Sunglasses-It doesn’t matter if it’s pitch black, raining, or actually sunny, sunglasses are imperative when traveling. They hide your eyes after a long flight so it doesn’t matter if you look tired or don’t have make-up on. They are celebrities must have accessory while in transit. Think about it, have you ever seen a picture of a famous person getting on or off a private jet without dawning a pair of sunglasses, designer of course.

Evian Mineral Water Spray-This product gives your face a nice natural glow and is an easy way to feel refreshed after a long flight.
