Need a break from Chinese, Mexican and Italian food? Try Aussie food at K.O. Pies!

A few weeks ago my friend had to write an article about a couple restaurants in South Boston — a place I’d never really explored.

We came upon K.O. Pies, an Australian hole-in-the-wall restaurant that was beyond adorable. We each got the classic meat pie and shared a plate of “chicken salt” fries. I was completely blown away by how tasty the pies were — the crust was flaky and meat was rich with spices.

You can eat the pies in store, or take a 12 pack home with you! The place also has a bunch of imports from Australia, such a Vegemite and HP Sauce. Personally, I’ll be heading back for that 12- pack of pies; they’re the perfect addition to Thanksgiving dinner.

This place is quaint, out of the way of the city hubbub and perfect for a cute afternoon date. Head over and try something new!
