Major: Sociology
hometown: The Bronx, NY
greek: Phi Delta Theta

HerCampus: What are you involved in on campus?

Josh Sanchez: I just ended my year long term as Vice President of Phi Delt. This is my third year being a 1st year mentor, and I am the reflection intern for the WTIS trip to El Salvador this January.

HC: Where is your favorite place to be on campus?

JS: Phi Delt Courtyard. Weather permitting it’s a great place to just lounge and enjoying time off. Whether we’re grilling out or just playing music, it’s a great place to take a break.

HC: What has your experience so far DePauw taught you about yourself?

JS: My experience at DePauw has definitely taught me that I am capable of doing whatever I put my mind too. You just have to go out there and take advantage of the opportunities around you and when you get them make sure that you’re getting all that you can out of that experience.

HC: What is your best memory at DePauw so far?

JS: I have a bunch of great memories over my four years so it’s hard to pick one as best. My first best memory was rushing the football field my freshman year when we won the Monon Bell game.

HC: What made you want to try out for the Amazing Race?

JS: I really wanted to do something adventurous because I had to go out into the work force. It would definitely be an experience that would challenge me in multiple ways and I could grow tremendously from.

HC: Where is the one place you want to go most?

JS: I really want to go Australia, it’s just always been on the bucket list.

HC: Favorite Marvins?

JS: Half a GCB with bacon and Macbites!

HC: What advice would you give to Freshmen?

JS: Take advantage of your time here at DePauw because it’s definitely true when people tell you that it flies by. Don’t leave with any regrets.
