Don’t know what to get that gym-junkie or vegetarian on your holiday shopping list? Here are some gifts for all of the different health nuts you are buying for this season.

For the Trend Follower:

Do you have that friend who is always looking for the coolest new piece of fitness equipment? Word on the street is that Valslide is quite popular among the Hollywood elite. While this isn’t the newest trend, equipment like this is popping up all over the place. I’ve previously used paper plates and towels to recreate Valslide exercises, but I might add these my own wish list.

For the Yogi:

Every yoga practitioner loves a fresh yoga mat. These mats range in price, but if the Yogi on your gift list practices a few times per week, splurge! If you have some extra cash left over, or maybe don’t want to spend the money on an expensive mat, get your Yogi some yoga accessories. Manduka, lululemon and Gaiam all have great yoga mats and props. Also, check out these mat-carrying cases from Gaiam!

For the Tea Addict:

Head on down to People’s Market in the Student Union and grab a few boxes of tea for your tea-lover. People’s Market has long been known as the best place on campus for herbal teas, healthy snacks, organic coffee and refreshing cold drinks. Grab some tea for a friend and a snack for yourself; you will be doing a good deed for everyone involved. My favorite teas have to be Vanilla Hazelnut and Energizing Assam Mint by Yogi–but I’m still working my way through People’s collection.

For the Vegetarian:

Vegetarians love tofu; therefore vegetarian on your list would greatly appreciate a tofu press. Trust me.

For the Guy:

Does your boyfriend, your brother or maybe your best friend LOVE the gym? Get them some workout gear that makes their muscles bulge. These Under Armour shirts are “built with technology that makes you better.” What guy wouldn’t want a shirt like that? If your man is into a specific sport or outdoor activity, ask him what he needs or wants–better to know than get the wrong thing.

For the Runner:

Need to buy for someone who loves to run? One option would be to buy them some cold-weather running gear. Another option… remind them why they run with a leather bracelet or sterling silver cuff.

For the Biker:

Okay, I am not going to lie… I don’t know much about bikes. However, I do know that REI has a lot of cycling clothing and an infinite amount of bike accessories.

For the Music lover, technology buff, or person without an iPod:

The newest iPod Nano is great! This is a great gift for anyone on your list, but specifically the person who can’t get through a workout without some motivating tunes. I actually have one of these and it easily clips onto your clothes without causing you any bother throughout your workout. You can even get a watchband for this iPod and increase its usefulness.

For the Fashionista:

Anything from lululemon. Athleta. Lucy. Or a gift card to Dick’s Sporting Goods will do.

For the Fitness Newbie:

Has your roommate, sister, dad or aunt talked about getting healthier or investing in a gym membership? Help them ease into the workout scene with effective workout DVDs to do at home. Zumba Fitness, Gaiam and Gin Miller all offer great workouts for the newbie. Splurge and get the person on your list some of the equipment that might help complete any of these workouts.
