Another semester has come and gone, and while many collegiettes™ are eager to head home for the holidays, we can’t help but reminisce on our past few months at BC.  From football tailgates to the snow on Halloween, there are plenty of memories to keep BC students thankful and cheerful this holiday season.  Along with these memories come important lessons that can only be learned during college years.  Here are some memories and lessons that BC collegiettes™ were kind enough to share with all of our wonderful, HC BC readers.

FAVORITE MEMORIES:

“Cops coming to our house… twice in 10 minutes.” – Anonymous

“I went to a team-themed party as a Superbowl Sunday Football player, and I came back wearing an Indian headdress!” – Laura Goodell ‘14

“One of my professors saying she loved me.” – Remy Hassett ‘14

“Snow on Halloween and tailgating to Notre Dame.” – Emma Marr ‘12

“Two of my really good girl friends and I were in a bit of a funk about a month ago… I guess you could call it the sophomore slump.  Work was hard, we were tired and stressed, and boy issues were dragging us down.  One night we decided to just watch a movie and do a girls’ night in, but we ended up deciding to go to the My Mother’s Fleabag comedy show that night.  We had never seen them before and I was a bit hesitant, so I didn’t think it would be fun.  When we were watching it though, from the first minute until the very end, we were cracking up.  We couldn’t believe how funny all of these people were, and on the spot!  They had this one sketch were the audience gave them a word and they had to come up with jokes about it (audience said toothbrush and they had to make up “99 toothbrushes walked into a bar…” jokes) and they were hilarious.  It was exactly what we needed to rejuvenate ourselves and really picked us all up for the rest of the semester.  No matter how much everything seems to suck, you can still laugh and you have to take advantage of that.” – Maggie Burdge ‘14

“When I was a Pino’s pizza box for Halloween and my friend coincidentally was a Pino’s delivery boy the same night.  Obviously we went to Pino’s to show off our looks.  Did we go behind the counter to take photos with the Pino’s crew?  Guilty.”  – Julianne Wojno ’13

IMPORTANT LESSONS:

“One of the lessons I learned early on this semester is that the only thing a girl needs to have a fun night are her best friends and some throwback music.  Also, after I broke up with my boyfriend, I realized how important it is to do what is best for yourself, even if it’s not necessarily what everyone else agrees with.  Cheesy, I know, but so true!” – Lauren Ruvo ‘14

“Okay so this is going to sound stupid, but I learned how productive I can be if I go to O’Neill.  It’s far enough away from my room that I might as well get a ton of sh** done since I already made the trek!” – Elaina Donofrio ‘13

“Always do what’s best for you and sometimes you have to put yourself first.” – Emma Marr ‘12

“Choose your battles, don’t take your time at BC for granted, and don’t overwork yourself.” – Anonymous

“Don’t take really hard classes that have absolutely nothing to do with your major.  Fight that idealistic nerd in you.  Or… fine, give in… but at least warn your GPA first…” – Julianne Wojno ‘ 13

What are your favorite memories from the semester?  Did you go abroad?  Did you meet your best friend?  And what are some new lessons you learned on the Heights since September?  Share with us in the comments, on Facebook, or through Twitter!
