Boston is so beautiful around the holidays, and a must-see event is the Radio City Rockettes.

The Radio City Christmas Spectacular is a Christmas show full of extraordinary dancing. Since 1933, the world- famous Radio City Rockettes have been putting on these shows involving a Living Nativity with live animals and other various special effects.

The Rockettes are compiled of eighteen talented dancers mostly know for their high kicks and dazzling costumes.

This year the Rockettes will be visiting Boston, MA, Nashville, TN, and Durham, NC. The most famous city the Rockettes are known for being at is New York City at the Radio City Music Hall every year.

Each show is roughly 2 hours long and it contains a fifteen minute intermission. However if you ever go to a show it seems to fly by because of how amazing the dancers are. I have gone twice before with my mother and grandmother and it has been such an awesome experience to watch how talented these women are. I, thankfully, get to see them again this December in Boston with my mother and grandmother and I am really looking forward to it!

Every little girl’s dream is to be a Rockette, but there are a few requirements in order to audition. The auditions are usually held in New York and Los Angeles. In order to be a Rockette you have to be between five-foot-six and five-foot-ten. Also you must be at least 18 years old and have experience in Jazz, Tap, Modern, and Ballet.

Seeing the Rockettes perform is definitely an event everyone should experience at least once in their life. The talent of the 18 dancers is unreal. Anyone who enjoys the beauty and spirit of Christmas would love this performance and would definitely hold the memory for the rest of their life. It is just such an uplifting experience for everyone involved, whether it’s the cast and crew or audience.
