We all know that it is fashionable to look good. But, the way I see it, it is much more fashionable to do good. When my good friend Elaine Truong told me about her online store, Antoinette’s Boutique, her charity jewelry immediately joined the ranks of “raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens” as one of my favorite things.

Antoinette’s Boutique is an online store that promotes eco-friendly fashion and global entrepreneurship through vintage, handmade, and globally crafted jewelry. Their products include vintage jewelry, handmade accessories, hand carved African bracelets, and stationary with a feminine touch.

“Our mission is to support eco-friendly fashion and global entrepreneurship,” Truong said. “100% of the profits from our African bracelets go to supporting entrepreneurship and sustainable African communities.”

My favorite thing in particular would have to be AB’s Antique Teapot Necklace from their Vintage Collection. As a hopeless fan of timeless beauty, black and white movies, and the romance of all things vintage, I couldn’t help but fall in love with the necklace’s aged elegance.

Truong came across the necklace at a vendor’s booth and learned about its long and intriguing history. Sold as an heirloom, the teapot charm itself is thought to be more than 30 years old. Contrasted with a modern chain, the necklace as a whole is the perfect blend of old world charm and new world sleekness.
