Miss Cory Ann Doman

Year: Sophomore

Major(s) and How You Chose Them: Professional Broadcast Communication, Public Relations and Business Marketing Minor—I am going to be famous one day and I am going to need to know how to market, manage, and promote myself!

Relationship Status: Dating my high school sweetheart for 3 years

Hometown and Your Favorite Thing About It: Rockwood. Favorite thing—
Campfires, dirt roads, and no cellphone service

Activities/Interests: Student Ambassador, Resident Assistant, traveling (I am going to Indonesia for Maymester and it will be my 15th country I have visited!), modeling with photographers

Favorite Thing About Winter at Chatham: Snow on the mansions

Favorite Spot on Chatham’s Campus: The Mellon Mansion living room. I want to buy the mansion when I graduate and live there forever!

Favorite TV Show: It’s kind of embarrassing but I am in love with True Blood.

Favorite Movie: AH! It is so hard to pick one! I can’t I have to do two: Pride and Prejudice and Love in the Afternoon

Favorite Band: Kings of Leon

Favorite Book: Oryx and Crake by Margaret Atwood

My perfect Friday night would be: In a fort made of blankets and pillows with some red velvet cupcakes and a funny movie.

The best part of being an RA: My favorite part is in cohesion with being an ambassador too. As an ambassador, I meet with prospective students and help them with the application process and give them tours. Then when they come to Chatham sometimes they are my residents too, so I really get to know them.

Dream job: Corporate spokesperson/public speaker

Why you chose Chatham: I chose Chatham because of the small undergraduate program and the flexibility within each program. I also was sold on historic residence halls and the fact that they are the old family mansions of Pittsburgh’s greatest, like James Laughlin and Edwin Fickes!
